Booking Hotels in Bangkok

Bangkok offers a vast range of top-notch accommodation for every budget. It continues to witness a constant opening of new hotels, most of them of the boutique and luxury categories, but the pocket-friendly options are still there. Where you book your stay will always depend on how much you’re willing to spend, but keep in mind that this is a city of "affordable luxury,” meaning you may often stay at high-end large-scale international chains for a fraction of the rates in Europe or the United States. Most luxury hotels are chain high-rises topped by rooftop bars with sweeping views, but that doesn’t mean they lack personality. Many incorporate local style and traditions, and are in prime, scenic locations.
As an alternative to big-brand properties and for a more intimate experience, there are private or historic homes that have been converted into boutique hotels.

Prices are higher in the cooler season (November to February), but don’t change much throughout the year. Advanced booking is a must, especially for mid-range and luxury hotels, and for stays during the peak tourist season (November to February).

In this guide we recommend hotels of all types and price levels, that stand out in their categories for customer satisfaction, value, facilities, location, and/or ambience. We highlight their exceptional features, and link to their booking page, which provides additional details and the opportunity to guarantee your room.
